The Spring Quarter of 2020 begins on March 1st:
Children ages 2 through 5 will be learning about God and how His ways are best through the stories of John the Baptist and Jonah. They will also learn that Jesus loves children.
Elementary aged children will learn that Jesus is enough, what it is to have a heart like God's and how to be a disciple.
Teens will learn that Jesus is enough, about God's relentless grace, and how to be a disciple.
Adults: In March, adults will be looking at the book of Jeremiah and how he was called to faithfully deliver God's message to a rebellious people. This can help us live for God in a culture that is moving away from Him. In April, we will be in the books of Mark and Luke as we explore Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, ascension and return and we will look at how we can follow Him. The month of May we will be looking at some special topics. We will explore some complicated questions people ask about our faith and how we can provide solid answers. We will see how people's worldviews determine how they interpret the evidence and information around them.
Two new classes will be offered during Life Class time which focus on learning how to study God's Word. The women will be teach "Being Women of the Word" and the men will be following the curriculum by Howard Hendricks called "Living by the Book".
Many of us have not been trained properly on how to study God's Word and this is vital for spiritual and foundational growth! 2 Timothy 2:16-17 says "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
- Knowing how to study God's Word is important so that we know who is properly interpreting the Bible and who is teaching error.
- Knowing how to study God's Word helps us to put all the little stories that are in the Bible together and see how they fit into God's Big Story.
- We become what we behold. When studying the Bible, it will mold and change you into the person God has created you to be. You'll never be the same again!
