Why Baptism?
After accepting Christ as Savior, you begin a lifelong journey of faith and obedience. Baptism is an important next step in that journey—it is a public and meaningful expression of your relationship with Jesus Christ and a milestone in your walk with Him. Through baptism, you openly identify as a follower of Christ, symbolizing that your old life has passed away and you are embracing new life in Him. Just as a wedding ring represents commitment in marriage, baptism represents your commitment to Jesus and your desire to live as a fully devoted follower.
Baptism is an act of obedience that illustrates the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ through immersion in water. While baptism does not save you—salvation comes by grace through faith alone—it is a powerful declaration that Jesus is your Savior and Lord and that you are choosing to follow His example and commands. If you have placed your faith in Christ and have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to take this step as an expression of your faith and obedience.
